It is a shame that when you took ownership of the Defender you did not ask for the 'Airbourne' option pack, costly butso worth it. travel anywhere and land anywhere. Thumbs Up

It could be worse - you could be on a cruise ship that feels like a floating prison. Dining rooms off limits because you are expected to dress like a free mason and the usual greed and gluttony that comes to a head when people feel they need to over indulge because it is "free".

The only was you'd find me on a cruise ship is either in a coffin whilst my body is repatriated by the FCO from some distant tropical island or if it's just me and one of the following:

A. Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders
B. The now out-of-work Bunnies from the Playboy mansion
C. Banarama
D. All of the above Whistle Monsieur Le Grenadier

Following on from my Gatwick exploits, why do mums insist on walking toddlers off planes and taking up the whole gangway as if it is some worthwhile learning experience for wee Johnny or Kate? At any time, let alone on a 2-hr delayed plane. If you really must, stand to one side, let everyone else off and then take as much time as you want. Or else pick the little f**ker up (you can probably tell, I don't have kids) and walk at the same pace as everyone else. Evil or Very Mad Monsieur Le Grenadier

Not to be out done on the flight fiasco I can say I will never waste money ever again on a cruise ship. North Sea Ferry is just as good.
Booked this mini cruise with P & O, Southampton to Guernsey. Couldn't eat in any restaurant other than the buffet because of a black tie dress code Rolling Eyes on the Friday. Buffet lounge also has a dress code but nobody takes any notice of that. Evil or Very Mad Gluttony and greed takes over with copious amounts of food being wasted.
Got up on Saturday to be told we couldn't go to Guernsay because sea too rough so basically captive for the whole time whilst we floa
ted around the Channel with not much to do but watch kids films or walk around the ship.
It did humour me how the black tie guests minced about on the friday perhaps thinking they were a different class but wearing a suit on holiday is not my idea of fun. Never again. I'd rather have put the money towards a roof tent. Thud

It's lovely, no smell of burning food they call barbecuing. No screaming kids in the street waiting for the ice-cream van..... Pure bliss. 🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️🌧️
