Fair comment, Brendan.

OK, I blatantly nicked this from Room 101 off the telly the other night, but it did hit a raw nerve with me.

UHT milk containers. Designed by dry cleaners and who the hell, apart from my Dad, puts that little amount of milk in their tea or coffee.

You stay in a hotel and they give you four. Well that's enough for one mug, how about the other three tea bags and four coffee sachets. At this point either myself or the current Mrs Rashers are on black coffee. They tell me you can ask for more, but to be honest, the world is not ready (or a Premier Inn come to that) for me waltzing down to reception in me boxers and tee shirt.

(I've been told, posh hotels have staff for making tea and coffee so you never run out of UHT milking in those establishments)

I thoroughly dislike people who do not do what I tell them to do! Ner Ner Razz

POTUS is what the Yanks use to describe their 'leader' President Of The United States.

Now who will be the first to describe Theresa May as PMOUK

or Angela Merkel as POG.

Now Barbara describes me as her GOG (Grumpy Old Git for those of you who do not like acronyms! Rolling with laughter )

Yours etc

I was under the impression that POTUS had been redefined for the Trump era, as "Person Of The Utmost Stupidity".

Young people who don't think old people should be allowed to vote on important issues affecting the future of our country (and of our grand-children).

You shouldn't vote cos you don't know nuffink and you're going to die soon anyway. Evil or Very Mad

And if you don't agree with our view, don't try coming to our University cos we'll shout you down and barricade the door so you can't speak.

We are the young.

We are liberal, tolerant and inclusive.

^^^ Couldn't agree more, but not everyone should be tarred with the same brush.
Some are not like it at all thank goodness - but a minority. Thumbs Up

My grump...

eBay buying idiots, that old chestnut of trying to get goods, say they didn't get it.
(Which they can't get away with due to postage proof kept.)
OR,
Buying items, not reading descriptions of an advert then making out it's not as described.
And that it costs too much to send back, so should be refunded due to this.

AND,
Attempting to use the feedback review as a tool to threaten which doesn't wash.

Little do they know a seller can report them, with out them knowing it for unacceptable behaviour.

The real moral of the story is always make sure you get POD or proof of delivery if you sell anything at all.
Don't skimp on postage or delievery cost for buyer benefit with no POD.

If you do, they can argue they didn't receive it and have YOUR item in their possession and the money will be refunded back to them if you cannot prove that you, yourself the seller has not got proof of delivery. Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

Don't get us started about ebay idiots and how big ebay has got!

We have had an ebay idiot tell us that there is absolutely noway that the rear door gas strut will fit a Defender rear door. Apparently he was a helicopter engineer

Oh, I did not mean to press the buy button!

or it is cheaper to buy off your website then ebay! Yes because on ebay there is10% sellers fees and 3% paypal (owned by ebay) fees Banging Head

But shipping is free on ebay?? Of course shipping is free, the packaging company gives us packaging material F.O.C. and the courier drivers do NOT want paying for delivering ebay items

Now ebay are forcing sellers to offer 'free shipping' i.e. increase price to include shipping which means ebay gets 10% of shipping charges which they did not get before, forcing prices up even more or reducing traders profits!

Then you get the traders making false claims on ebay.

Or traders who say

Quote:

We will choose the best way to ship your packages, and declare lower value.

What they mean to say is , yes we will collude with you to defraud custom and excise duties/fees etc involved in importing these goods

BBC so called news reporter. Talking about cars stuck on M74.

Talked about slow and fast lanes! Banging Head

Someone needs to inform the BBC there is no such thing as slow and fast lanes in the U.K.

Almost as bad IMO are reporters who talk about the "inside" and "outside" lanes, ambiguous terms which make no sense (the lane most think of as the "inside" lane being the one nearest the outside of the road).

What is wrong with Lane 1, Lane 2, etc, the terminology used by the professionals who work on and around our roads?
