What shocks on a 2 inch lift??
I'm very confused as to which shocks I need. I bought the Devon 4x4 Springs (Eibach) with 2 inch lift, and now I am looking for a set of shocks. I am looking at Terrafirma Adjustable 4 stage or OME.

Do OME supply +2 Shocks? And are Terrafirma that bad? Do they rust in no time?

I will have a double cardan propshaft, with adrenaline 4x4 trailing arms and radius arms as well.

Can you please help Smile ?

Thanks in advance!

I cant comment on the defender ones but i had a discovery TD5 with terriferma springs and shocks, they did a job, were not in that bad of condition after 2 years of having them fitted (Road use only). My girlfriends dad has a discovery 300TDi with old man emu shocks and springs and they ride quality is far better. Corners better and does not sway as much. I would highly recommend OME. Its what i will put on mine when they time comes.

If you have the budget go for the OME ones, they do +2 shocks.

TF are alright but the paint is shockingly bad

It looks that OME are the way forward. Are they direct fit to the land rover defender? Or do I need to change the suspension setup?

Thanks

The should be a direct fit, however on the rear you may have to remove the "suspension cups" on the bottom half of the rear axle, some shocks require the remove to aid articulation and prevent the shock from snapping.

I'm saying this as it seems that for the Old Man Emu NS-60037L Nitrocharger Sport Long Travel (front), the mount setup is eye to eye, and for the Old Man Emu NS-60039L Nitrocharger Sport Long Travel (rear) is also eye to eye.

Now if, I'm not mistaken the front defender one is not eye to eye, right? So the shock turret needs to be replaced. Am I right?

And apart from that, do they need any particular bushes?

The other (and much cheaper...) option is to keep your original springs and shocks and put a lift kit on them.
You can do this for around +/- £100.

50mm spacers on springs, drop plate for shocks and jobs a good un.

Glyn Lewis do them:

I own already the Eibach Springs, Double Cardan propshaft, trailing and radius arms so those are settled.

The only question are the shocks and the bushes to be honest.
