Been one of those days today... picked up the car on my way home from london and felt the gears were a little heavy to engage, but the wagon had been parked up for 3 weeks and thought nothing of it
Then 200 miles later coming off the motorway into a services there was no pressure on the cutch and the peddle just flopped around ... stoped the wagon and turned it off, them pumped the peddle a few times and got some pressure back. Made it home, with some slight difficulties only going down through the gear box. So call to Roger Young, Saltash, landrover assist to pick up the 110 and a 2017 disco sport to play with while they look at the problem. - sorted ! my thoughts are clutch master cylinder & possibly the clutch its self as well. - so will wait and see what the diagnosis is and how long its going to take to fix it. Mean while a shiny toy to play with for a few days ... ! Am I right in thinking its a clutch out job to repair/replace the master cylinder - so that may be a new clutch at the same time ?? Master cylinder is on bulkhead and is easy, slave is concentric around first motion shaft and is gearbox out, so might as well do everything whilst its in pieces....

Quick progress report -
new master cylinder being fitted and also a new transfer box - but no clutch as that isn’t the problem so they say ....thank goodness for the warranty !! Meanwhile I am still having to put up with the Disco sport HSE model that is all posh but not practical for my lifestyle! It had 50 miles on the clock when I took it last week and now has over 600 !! pick ups the 110 on Saturday with some luck !!
