My defender seems to runs better in wet weather why?
Why does my defender seem to run better when it's wet and damp but you're in the heat it seems to be a bit sluggish and not quite on par as it is when it's cold and wet.

I realise that the air is denser inside fuel and thermistor burns more freely but I just wanted to know if there's anything I can do.

Do I need to check anything it's just been serviced and the coolant change to so everything is pretty much as it should be it's only done 56,000 miles too?. It's more important to concentrate on what's ahead of you than what you have left behind.

This is what I keep watching to remind me why I own/keep my Defender. https://youtu.be/x4DZgOcgn1s

Cleaning the MAF sensor is a good place to start.

Generally, diesels do run better in damp conditions due to the greater density of oxygen, but if it's really noticeable then the chances are it's a sensor problem. Darren

Is essence this thread covers exactly the same question, and has the answers.

I understand now thank you. It's more important to concentrate on what's ahead of you than what you have left behind.
