Mirfield, U.K.
Isn't Mirfield close to Huddersfield where there was a recent def2 gathering, close to Leeds also?
This picture appeared on our local newspaper websites today. Seems someone had an issue with this Range Rover owner.
Not only widespread Defender theft, but also risk of getting a pick axe in your bonnet. Shocked Dangerous country. Laughing
Eric

You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

Wales 2007 Defender 90 Other CSW Trident Green
Apparently a disgruntled employee in the town of Mirfield smashed his bosses Range Rover with a pickaxe this morning.

This led to armed police flooding the area around where the Range Rover was parked and later a man was arrested.

Mirfield is a small town and civil parish in Kirklees, West Yorkshire, England. Historically part of the West Riding of Yorkshire, it is between Brighouse and Dewsbury. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

It is just down the road from Huddersfield and I think it's the birthplace of sir Patrick Stewart! I've seen other pictures of this from different angles and it looks like the Range Rover was blocking the entrance to a building site so I'm guessing the builders had had enough.

Edit: didn't read the story and it appears my assumption was wrong Whistle Ray

All new Land Rovers/Range Rovers now come with a pick axe.

Its so you can start to dig that "bottomless pit" to throw your money in! Very Happy

Eric, you are correct we did have a Def2 gathering near Huddersfield but I can assure you that no Land Rovers were harmed at our meeting.
