Next task was sorting the headlights: Crystal WiPACS with Osram Laser Nightbreaker bulbs. Maintain OEM look but increase vision. Old on the left, new on the right.
 Click image to enlarge Now - I bought the Boomslang wiring loom to sort out the switch problem but haven't fitted it. Why? Because I have started finding tales of the loom failing and potentially causing a fire risk. It seems particularly vulnerable around the fuse and relay area. The forum has a number of tales of woe caused by the loom (and the Landzreiger too to be fair). Secondly, I also found a couple of threads suggesting that the switch issue was fixed post 2011 (there was a LR recall for 07-11 models I believe). So on balance, do I leave everything alone? On another matter....
Click image to enlarge I couldn't believe how simple it is now Pete has managed to crack the tuning of the ECU with no removal. Total elapsed time from start to finish (including sending Pete the file and receiving the map back from him) just over 1 hour. Actual time 'doing things' about 10 mins from start to finish. At the start of the flashing process there was a choice on my phone's screen that basically said - Would you like 150hp or 170hp? Press button to select.

Yes, i now have a choice of 3 maps - Standard, 150 and 170. Its a 5 min job to switch between them.
yes to standard intercooler, at least for now. I don't live anywhere very hot (Devon!) nor do I tow very heavy loads or run at high speeds for long periods (ie motorway miles). On balance this should keep me out of trouble. I will continue to get advice and look at some of the temps (that are available via tool) to get an idea of normal vs raised temps. Yes a silver roof. I think it's Indus Silver, but don't know for certain. Initially I didn't like it and planned to get it sprayed black but is grown on me as it gives the vehicle a bit of a lift from the all black look (which in my personal opinion can look a bit too gangsta once you change wheels and so on) My Defender: http://www.defender2.net/forum/post630322.html#630322

Is it santorini black?I i have an indus silver roof on mine ..i think the grey looks better as a contrast but like you i am getting used to it!

Yes it's santorini black. When I bought it there was a full adventurer roof rack which I have since taken off. The roof is more noticeable now.
