Immobiliser, can I buy a fob and get it paired up?
Hi there guys,
I bought a 2007 defender 90 truck cab and it only came with one basic key no fob or anything. It has no central locking or anything like that.

I'm under the assumption that they all come with an imboliser behind the dash the little green box???
Can I buy an alarm fob and get it paired to my ecu/ immobiliser so that I can immobilise it with the fob and then lock the doors manually (no central locking bog standard basic model)

I have the BAS remote plug in can I pair a new fob through this??
Or is this any good?? http://www.remotekey.co.uk/land-rover/defender-2/#top
Many Thanks
Max

So I can program a new fob to the 10AS module with my BAS remote plug in?

It doesn't even have to be a 'new' fob, any Lucas 3TXB or 17TN fob will work, they were widely used on Rover group vehicles throughout the late 90's.

So long as the circuit board is good, you can buy a refurb kit from Land Rover dealers for about a tenner. (new case and buttons)
