Had one of those looks from the wife yesterday and the comment of ‘why did you just order one armrest for you, a bit selfish’. Thinking quickly on my feet I replied, ‘well I ordered just the one to test it was comfortable, it was always my intention of ordering the left hand side for you dear if I thought it was comfortable. Seemed to work, so marriage saved and to make sure it remains so I ordered the left hand side today. gilarion, my wife tells me I spend more time with my Defender than with her. I am also accused of buying more tat for the Land Rover than I spend on her. She says I have wasted £20 for an arm rest in a vehicle that was bought knowing there was no elbow room in the first place.
In my defence, how much Holby, Casualty, East Enders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale can one Defender owner put up with?

Woried of Norfolk

Oh, should I have PMed you? Whistle

Yes you should have Pm’d me as airing your marriage troubles on an open forum could be construed as desperate. Laughing

However my advice on your conundrum re the purchase of an armrest is as follows.

Females are often under the impression that soaps reflect real life and so become engrossed in the make believe, this is compounded with the fact that even Emmerdale now has no visible Defenders.

So my advice to ease the conflict with the fiscal spending on Land Rover products is thus:

To your wife become a multi layered soap character whose storyline is about his obsession with Land Rovers, along with this plot you must constantly go on about your hardships, and become emotional at the slightest thing.

Show a strong feminine side to your wife perhaps looking wistfully at Evoques Shocked, while at the same time showing a three day beard growth, and lose your temper with people in the pub and your neighbours at the slightest thing, especially if they call your Defender a Jeep Evil or Very Mad , show signs of alcoholism and that you could be having an affair.

Your new persona with any luck will become more interesting than the characters in televised soaps, and should satisfy your partner to the point where she will ignore any Defender spending, thus preventing the need for you to be forced into watching the above mentioned soaps. Right, where do I start. That's a lovely looking Evoque. DID YOU SPILL MY PINT? Evil or Very Mad

Thank you. Maybe you could become the new Def2 Agony Aunt..... sorry Uncle. 'Dear gilarion' Bow down

Yeah, I was quite surprised at the fit, nice and snug but still able to slide it forwards if its in the way.

When you've ordered as many new toys as you have the postage fees would be sky high, you've stil got time to.order something else using the money you've saved! Wink The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again but expecting different results.

Ordered yesterday morning and arrived this morning, great service from mud with text message updates with postage details, have placed in on the door and must say it's a good fit and seems to work very well, I'm yet to test drive but big thumbs up here 👍

Just ordered a left handed one for the current Mrs Rashers.

Looks like they are out of stock of the right hand ones?
