United Kingdom 2012 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 SW Indus Silver
Under pressure..
We depart for Portugal Wednesday & the 110 is finished ( well until we get back & decide to change things) Standard suspension & will be fully loaded to include full recovery kit & Air top tent so she's carrying a fair bit.
She's running on standard MTRs and 30psi front & rear which after reading much on here is way too low.
2 questions really tarmac pressures & trail pressures? Manual is saying 30f & 48r which seems a lot to me ( I can play with these en-route) but looking for ball park bench mark on both scenarios please.

30 and 48 worked for me for a loaded 110. Darren

I run my 90 fully loaded roof tent Foxwing & all camping associated stuff.
40psi road, usualy for drive to destination.
18psi to 25psi for off road depending on how rocky loose or muddy conditions are.
Tyres are BFG M/T 285/70/16
I find these pressures work well for me.

32 F 34 R for me in my 90 with 255/85 KM2's.

Varies between 110 and a 90 due to weight, 110's normally require higher on the rear due to length and weight handling.

This suite me for what I do, probably another couple of psi on thecrear if towing very heavy but I don't. Diesel$ Live$ Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️ RED, WHITE & BOOST! 🇬🇧

Rough rule I use for highway initial set up is to inflate until the side wall has stood up( not bagged out) and add 10psi.
I then look for a 3-5psi increase after an hour of driving, less is over inflated/ more is to low.
(From a quick google search)...http://www.aawen4x4.com.au/

For high speed dirt roads I deflate until I see the side wall start to bag out and go 5psi more.
For harder tracks(rocks etc) I go another 5psi again but drive to suit.

For reference only I run at close to full weight on holidays running KM 2 mud tyres while towing 1600kgs of bed on wheels with our 110.
Highway, 44 front, 55->60 rear, 44 TVan.
Dirt (80km/h), 34 front, 42>50 rear, 35 TVan.
Rock crawling tracks 28 front, 30 rear not towing or 36, 30 TVan.
All of this I monitor with an onboard TPMS with the sensors strapped inside each wheel including spares. Cheers,
Kyle.
