I was thinking that! Been offered a 4.0 or 4.6 auto and need something to put it in Whistle

That dealer seems to have a lot of Cat C& D vehicles? Rob

So is it a 50th that's been converted, or a 300tdi that's been made to look like a 50th? 2002MY Defender 90 H/T

It is most likely original, a small number of 50th Defenders sold were apparently 300tdi from the factory. Rarer than the V8 but probably less desirable....

It's an original Tdi (probably) - there was a batch of Tdi hardtops in the anniversary colour.

You can tell it's a Tdi as the fuel filler is behind the door not behind the wheel.  1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

They weren't just "in the anniversary colour" though, they were actually sold as 50th models as stated on the V5 for this one.

Thanks Martin, was just checking! I nearly bought one a few years ago so looked into them in depth!

Do you know if the 300tdi version was numbered like the V8? I don't think they were but I may be mistaken.....

Wales 2007 Defender 90 Other CSW Trident Green
Could be wrong but I always thought 50th's came from the factory with an outside roll cage fitted. Or am I thinking of something else. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
