Lions

Billy Vunipola has withdrawn from the squad citing a persistent shoulder injury. He played a full 80 against Clermont last weekend and another vs Exeter this weekend. I feel sorry for the chap and it's a big loss but something doesn't feel right about the way he has been managed. I get that club pays the bills but a Lions spot is a big deal. Perhaps he could have been rested, perhaps he was never going, knowing he would be out with the shoulder. Either way it won't help our chances.

Serious loss. Personally I think he would have been first down on the team sheet. Should have been rested perhaps for the Exeter game. With him missing it definitely got a lot harder to win in New Zealand.
