This is my solution for an android receiver. And yes, one face level vent is blocked and the clock is hidden.
But the 7" display is nearly in the direct view of the driver. Behind the Land Rover sign is a normal 1-DIN receiver installed with all features you may want: DAB+/navigation/rear camera/obdII app/... Okay the It's working now for 4 years without problems . Yes, I'm also looking for one from a reputable manufacturer. (Something with technical support and a warranty)
There are a few no-name brands that look promising but it's a risk, especially if you don't live in Europe, China or the USA. |

Thanks MDP, but the LR version is based on the old base unit that Porsche used to use. They now have the new version with Apple Car Play. LR havent updated their head unit, still no Car Play.
