Hazards lights/ indicator issue
Just going through the snagging list before the mot on my 99 110 csw 300tdi. It seems that the hazards will only flash the indicators on both sides of the vechicle if the indicator stalk on the column is put in the turn left position. If the stalk is in the neutral position and I turn the hazard light switch on only the right hand side will flash. I presume that is a indicator stalk/ hazard switch issue rather than relay etc . Also when the stalk is used to operate the indicators normally they work fine.
Before I go delving into the wiring I thought it was worth asking, plus I have searched for similar issues with most people suggesting the hazard switch could be at fault.

Cheers Terry, will give that a look later, plus if it needs replacing I think may have a spare switch floating round in the garage. 1999 300TDI 110 CSW BMW 3.0

id say its the hazard switch, be very wary of cheep replacement ones, I thought was a lucas part and it wasn't, after it started causing all 4 lights to flash if I engaged left or right with the stalk. I did have a bit of a fiddle with the socket at the back of it, which corrected it, but I found a proper lucas part and swopped if over. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back
