Access to Glass's Guide?
I'm after buying a used car, but the prices I keep coming across at dealers are just insanely unrealistic (I think!). For example: found a nice one at a dealer, who wants £4,300 for it. So I went to confused.com's valuation service and they said it isn't worth more than £3,305 at a dealer!!! So I re-offered £3,500 and I've obviously upset them as they aren't taking my calls. Has anyone got access to Glass's Guide? The reg is LG03 WDP and the mileage is 39,000. It's in very good condition. Thanks, if anyone can. I went online, but ALL the valuation services want to take your email address to give you the price, so that they can bombard you with crap. Now left.

I would be very wary of that vehicle seeing as it has done 607miles since Jan 2013! 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

Glass' adjusted for the the mileage looks like £3250 retail however CAP which most places use these days suggests a retail of £2850. That said it all depends on condition, warranty provided and level of preparation.

Hope that helps

...and rallysteve ! how do you both know that? Is there a DVLA site that I didn't know about?

Dealer phoned me this morning and won't go "a penny less than £4,000". Now left.

you can look up MOT history via the DVLA site:
https://www.gov.uk/check-mot-history

Personally I use total car check, you need to register but basic checks are free. Their full check is also very good and reasonably priced:
