Insurance is a strange business !
So...Adrian flux quotation for a car I don't yet own...

2008 90 station wagon, 190bhp, svx windscreen protection, 17inch wheels, air filter, remap. 10k miles a year. Parked at home at night and station car park during the day. Premium = £580

Same car, no modifications all other details the same = £870

To quote the lady on the phone, we are a modified insurer, the more modifications the better.

Have I woken up in a different world ?

I did my renewal for my 1952 80" today with Flux, upped the value again,
Gone down £2 from last year to £96.00!

I was expecting an increase to be honest?

Your right, insurance is a funny old game.....
Can't see how the more bling you bolt on the cheaper it gets?? Snigger 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

I know one of the policies they sell is AXA Enthusiasts Modified Policy.
They probably can't even quote that for a vehicle with no modifications. I assume the thinking is similar to kit cars - if someone is an enthusiast and put a lot of time into their vehicle they are likely to look after it?
