Odd speedo response
Hi all.

Any thoughts on this !!!!

On starting I got a reading of 50mph on the speedo, just for a few seconds, droped back to zero. Never noticed this before. Just a momentery blip in the electronics ??????

Mine does this VERY occasionally (maybe twice in the last 3 years) It hasn't happened for a while though. I can only think that it is either a very intermittent earth fault or just where the transducer is stopped in a certain position and the electrical interference on start-up generates a pulse that makes the speedo jump. Mine went to about 70mph and stayed there for a couple of seconds Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

I've noticed mines doing this once in the last two years, nothing has come of it so I suppose it was just an electronics glitch.

Usually happens when starting on a low battery.
Also sometimes you will notice the fuel gauge go to empty.

Signifies your battery or grounding has issues. From the land of the most expensive land rover defenders on planet earth. At 125k for a XS 110 csw and you get to own it only for 10yrs! Please find me a good reason to stay on this island.
