Our 90 TD5 pulled to the left from new. Not badly, but enough so that if you took both hands off the wheel it would always make its way left.
Everything was checked and found to be in order...it was brand new. I put up with it for years, the missus never even mentioned it when she drove it. Eventually l changed the steering damper for an RTC one and l set the spring slightly off centre, which cured the problem completely. ln addition it made the steering centre itself better (which is the idea) which l found made it better to drive on the road. The RTC steering damper was on for three years until we sold the Landy to buy a 110. I have fitted one on the 110 as well, because it makes it easier/better to drive if you use it mainly on road. But the 110 has never pulled to the left so no adjustments were needed. |
