Switchs
Planning a few minor additions on for camping and trying to decide on switches options. These will only be for some 12v supplies for fridge mobile etc so no real amp and I hope to mount them up in the rear quarter trim so mostly out of the way apart from Carling what alternatives are there that look professional? Toggle is a possibility but always think there vulnerable even positioned out of the way.

I also need to fit one for the driver but don't really want to mess with the dash and want to keep that oem if possible any ideas?

I recently used some of these rocker switches from Maplin, which I'm very happy with:

They come in a range of flavours - on/off, on/off/on, etc - and are very reasonably priced.

These look ideal. Just trying to work out if I can run three 12v sockets off the one 15amp switch without blowing fuses all the time

I think Valeo and Hella both do a good range of them, with different icons and mountings.

But when i looked it seemed impossible to find a retailer in the UK.

Carling are really the only choice if you want a professional OE looking instalation.

For something more generic, this type are quite good.

It's much easier to make a round hole, than cut out a rectangular one which means you stand a better chance of getting a tight fit.

I'm not sure what make they are, but Vehicle Wiring Products supply some nice looking rocker switches with a variety of icons. They also come in a range of flavours but are much more expensive when all of the components are added up.

The round ones are much easier to fit but don't typically offer the range of functionality that the bigger switches do. Depends what you need them to do, of course. They're also only 10 amp, which may be a consideration. Darren
