Re: the gun story funny now that nothing really bad happened.
That's a Fass57 (stgw57) it could have done a lot of damage, from the picture the magazine is missing, do not know if it was removed before or after the shooting.

What is really scary is to think how long it was carried around and stored in that condition, probably since the last time he went to the range, really scary. Total lack of gun discipline.

We camped from thursday til sunday there, and, as Eric already said, the Swiss organised a wonderful event - they even organised sunny weather with it! Wink

Very lucky no one got hurt with the gun shot! I always assumed these ex-military LR's with guns had the firing pins removed before sale, let alone live ammunition! I thinking in Switzerland all the men do service national each year and keep the guns if they want at the home. Perhaps this is the reason? Many people suprise at the discovery that Switzerland has so much high gun ownership statistic and most guns are military rifles. I work in forest with a Swiss. Nice man, very good shot against wild pigs. Married a French.

Really nice locate for this meeting excellent. I would if I am knowing of it to do the visit. Next year I hope they do this again and Eric informs the forum of it.

This event takes place every five years (this was the 30 Yrs Jubilee), so you will have to wait til 2022... But next year you can visit Holland, when the Land Rover Club Holland will celebrate its 30 Yrs Jubilee!
