Some of those bmw's or the mercedes would certainly do it, would only to be for taking to crail raceway for a couple of times up and down the strip then probably sell it on around 2k I was thinking

We did something similar years ago
Performance Car mag £999 challenge... My Brother bought a Toyota Celica and His mates a Supra 3.0i and the other a Supra 3.0i Turbo. We had to do o-60, quarter, slalom course etc... Great fun and Cheap we made money on the car.... The wining car was a robin Reliant with a motorbike engine (the 4 wheel reliant if that's what its called) |

Golf R's were just breaking under 14 secs last time I was at Crail, and they are not slow cars by any stretch...
My Freelander was running 16.5's, with 4wd, 200bhp and partially stripped (1350-ish kgs)... |

Maybe a bit ambitious? Its just i know a guy who takes a corsa c with a z20let engine init which manages just under 14 seconds so would be aiming to beat it... for a laugh as he hates anything thats German lol

If I ever won the lottery I'd have a silly fast standard looking defender just for the giggles

Our v8 was fun with that, people saw defender and never thought it would have a v8 or could shift, which if course it could - always limited top speed, but get up and go, it had it. Mike
