Hi all,

To provide a bit of an update on this thread, I'm struggling to get it to start. It seems like an immobiliser issue, I can get the car to crank over and have fuel at first crank but after that I have no fuel or spark.

It's taken a little longer than expected due to a few issues with the TVR and a new defender I picked up but I'm hoping to get this immobiliser issue sorted in a few weeks.

I think you have to compaire the wiring from the Defender DT5 and the Discovery 2 V8 Most is the same but the problem could be the Body Control Unit. See what signals are different and I think you will get it running.

Hi Voorfrank,

I’ve swapped the complete wiring loom over from the D2. I’ve asked on the D2 forum and someone gave me a link to a good site with wiring diagrams etc etc. I’m going to take a look at the car next weekend and hopefully post a video of it running next weekend.

Hi, I've been watching your thread on fitting the 4.0 auto. Have you managed to get it running? I have a spare disco to do the same but it looks difficult in terms of wiring.
