What's the general consensus on this
This is in my local landy garage and looks very smart....but £16.5k for a 2004? Overpriced or about right? Defender prices still baffle me . Apologies for not posting the link (don't know how and can't see an item number on mobile eBay app)

I would say they are trying it on....but I've not been watching current prices for this model.

As you say though prices are ALL over the place, its had a lot done (not to my taste and I'm colorblind but the arches looks completely different and way too wide for the wheels anyway?)

I think at that price assuming the engine and inside are std also they will be dropping the price quite soon Smile

There's a lot of cheap tat bolted to that, nothing looks like it's quality, look at the air scoop on the wing Laughing . There's nicer motors about. See posts on here a few days back about those arches.

My own opinion, but whatever floats your boat.

As always with a vehicle of this age it is all about the condition. If it is immaculate and low miles then maybe.

If the appeal is all the tat hanging off it then maybe. Although see above.

If poor chassis, doors, bulkhead or interior then no. HR064 Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response

The arches are big along with the wheels so they don't look out of proportion I don't think.

I quite like the look of it but haven't looked that closely at the quality of the bolted on bits. I'm not a fan of loads of lights but like chunky off roader looks. I thought it was priced highly but then are so are a lot I've seen. I miss my old Defender and want a newer one (mine was a 200tdi G reg) but everything I see is mega bucks. Another garage nearby has a B reg 90 for £13'000 admittedly they've had it a while now.

Seems expensive to me unless you really want all those extras. 111K miles too.

I paid £17600 for a 2007 Puma 110 SW with A/C and 27K miles 16 months ago so this 90 doesn't seem good value to me.

Personally I went for something bog-standard and added the elements exactly as I wanted them, but this may be different to your approach.

To be honest my last 90 only had a set of chunky tyres and that was all I needed, for getting in and out of a muddy field for the horses. I don't need front and rear winches or spot lights. So I should just look for a bog standard Defender Laughing
