I can highly recommend speaking to Phil at OEM Developments. The quality is great and they get such a neat tight fit on the corners. It is a little bit more money but well worth it I think. Still saving for door cards Whistle

Will be very envious of the door cards Nicks! I'm sure you've seen MCMA1 interior done by OEM, I don't think it gets any better!

i've got half of my twisted interior installed now... the quality of the leather and workmanship is higher than anything i've seen elsewhere, and I've had a good poke around a few shows.. 10x better than the prior cubby..

can't wait till its completed, it's that good I've booked the recaro's in for a re-trim next time I'm away in the same colour combination.

that does look fantastic, I guess we are working to very, very different budgets here! for example those seats were over 10x the cost of mine Embarassed My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

Hey you are very welcome, happy to help rather than always ask the questions.

They are lovely seats actually and quite reasonable cost if you DIY. They look good and are very comfy.

I wrapped my centre console glass black to finish the look at the weekend. I also fitted the exmoor trim seat heating kit.

If you've got any questions about the seats just ask.

Nice. You can't beat a bit of luxury inside a Defender!

Just bagged myself a heritage leather handbrake. Expensive for what it is but will add nicely to my leather theme.

Thats a neat place to put the seat heat switches! I like that. Always wondered though why Puma owners rarely put the switches on the centre console? There looks to be so much room, is it a pain in the ass or complicated?

Well on a Puma there are already dedicated switches and switch locations available for the heated seats. Obviously one doesn't have to use them, but it's less work than putting the seat heater switches in the centre cubby.

There is a kit available from FCX to use the factory switches which I may install in the future. But it was an additional cost which I hadn't allowed for and with the exmoor trim kit it wasn't ideal in that I still had to install the exmoor kit and hide the switches somewhere. The exmoor kit has the advantage of high and low setting which is nice.

Yes in a perfect world I Would have gone for the factory switches but then again in a perfect world I probably would have got completely different seats, etc - maybe had my defender professionally built...the point I'm making is we can't have it perfectly with everything and with a limited budget, some compromises are made. My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

I get that, I mean why not fit those rocker switches on the side of the centre console?

I thought the cup holder was easier to replace if I change it in the future, rather than drilling into the dash. Plus the looms from the relay wiring to the switches is fairly short and to be quite honest I couldn’t be bothered to extend all the wiring to reach the front. Embarassed

I had looked at fitting them into the switch blanks in the dash, but because of their shape they wouldn’t have fitted flush so I was worried they might look at bit out of place. My 90 Project : http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52774.html

Fair enough! Just wondering is all, seen a few people fit them onto raised seat rails, also rather neat.

I feel your pain though, I hate wiring! I've got a lot to do in the coming months as well Sad
