Offset question
Hi all

I am due new tyres very soon and would like to confirm whether or not I have calculated my offsets correctly. I am currently running boosts and 235 85 16 on 30mm spacers, thus giving me a 3 mm offset I think.

If I bought sawtooth at et20 and fitted 265 75 16 (without the spacers), would my offset then be, on the outside of the actual tyre at least, only 2mm different to what is fitted at the moment (2mm further in)?

Thanks in advance

On the boosts your et was 33 so with the spacers will be 3 as you said.
The sawtooths alone would be 17 mm further in to the arch than the boosts and spacers and with the spacers they would be 13mm further out than the boosts and spacers Ray

Sorry just re read about the tyres. The 265s are 30mm wider overall so you would expect an extra 15mm inwards of tyre and 15mm extra outwards of tyre on top of the measurements of the wheel so as you said.

Tyre 2mm further in without spacers
Tyre 28mm further out with spacers Ray

So, therefore with the extra thickness of the 265s, the sidewall of the tyre would be 15mm on top of that equation. 2002 110 td5

Cheers Ray, I thought that was the case. Looks like I can get rid of the spacers then! 2002 110 td5
