This is my 90, Alan.. Alan Drover... 1993 200 tdi...
I've had it 6 or 7 months and it was in good nick when I bought it as it was rebuilt on a galvanised chassis, 3 previous keepers and had been off the road for 7 years prior to its rebuild...

So far I have re-upholstered the seats with an exmoor kit.. added seat heating.. lined out the back with mud side panels and LR rubber mat.. fitted some side steps... fitted a Land reiziger headlight loom.. replaced the head light switch...fitted ARB's.. put 4 speakers in, no radio yet... added an auxiliary fuse box.. boost gauge... rear step... sound proofing including the wright off road matting.. central locking.. some Dinitrol in the doors... pedal lock.. rear head lining and light... replaced indicator and side light connectors...

Although the wheels are in keeping with its era I am going to change them for some 90's alloys with 235's to fill the arches out and help with the gearing... that is a work in progress at the moment as I had to be sure it would fit in the garage due to the increase in height... also the powder coating I had done to match the body colour was Big Cry so I have gone back to my original plan to paint them myself

These are the rims I got off Ebay...

I took them to get Sand/Bead blasted and against my better judgement I let my friend talk me into having them powder coated even though I had ordered some Arles blue paint for them...
As Powder coatings are RAL colours we had to choose the nearest one.. after much too ing and fro ing we decided on the nearest match.... a week later I went to pick them up...

Corsa boy racing wheels springs to mind... so I sprayed one up and the difference is more than apparent...

The colour looks different in different lights... but it certainly isn't Arles blue...

After a fair bit of sanding.. spraying.. masking... I've ended up with this...
