sods law that one is, I made sure that things went back on the way it came off, But that was cause there was two of us, talking to each other just to keep things on par. Laugh was we didn't really have many dramas, but the funniest thing was the rears were the ones with the dramas, we were expecting the fronts to be a right pain. All went so smooth at the front,
Also thanks for the photos of the paint match too, Wink I showed them to my mum and it looks like she might have to get it matched like you have done. It would look an eye sore on where she needs to sort it.

Well I still have the front shocks to do.. I've had a quick drive over the local speed bumps and the rear end damping is much improved.. I'm thinking I might get a swing away spare wheel carrier as I have noticed the back door is heavier with the new wheel... Rolling Eyes I've got some Dinitrol left from my classic mini days so I am going to do the bulkhead and inside the chassis when we have a nice warm day...
The paint that is the nearest in colour was mixed from the same paint code as the other, not made from analysis of the existing paint, don't know why they are so different. I think some big Halfords can analyse your paint to get a match...
Any nearer to that MOT yet? 👍 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

that's one of the things I am going to fit before I even consider changing the wheels, Is a swing away for the door. My dad said its best to fit 1st, to at least save the rear hinges, with the weight of the spare wheel. My rear door does need a good overhaul with the electrics and a bit of panel repair work, plus a replacement door card. So we are looking close to 300 quid to fix the door.
I am going to put it in for MOT this week, while its still got one on, then we will going to go from there. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Which wheel carrier are you going to get? I like the Nakatanenga one but not keen on the price Laughing So maybe the LR/mantec one @ £179 on the bay...
I put a Mud rear door card on.. I have the other I took off, it's ok if you want it? I don't want anything for it, it has the wiper cover and the bit that covesr the bottom door stopper... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

I have finished the front shocks.. I managed to do it without needing to change the turret rings thankfully.
Whilst the Air cleaner housing was off I gave it a good clean, rub down and a few coats of paint.

Thanks Darren.. I haven't done much in there yet either apart from some silicone intercooler hoses..... theres is a bit of rusty pipework and brackets going on that I'd like to do something with. As the air cleaner housings are now an obsolete part and expensive s\h I thought I'd best look after it.

I will give you a heads up on the Knocky rear end. My dad had the same trouble, you are going to need to replace the Bushes on the rear radius arms. My dads just polybushed his and all is nice and quiet now. ( best get a garage with a press to do that for you) My dad made a right hash and a half getting the metal sleeve out.
