I have only turned the pin 90 degrees, nothing too racy Laughing It feels slightly more responsive with no additional smoke and EGT's are ok. 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

Not yet.. it runs up to a maximum of 13-14psi atm.. so I aren't sure what the maximum is, although I don't want it on the limit... I like to play safe Wink 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

I had a look at my dads engine to day for you, about the manifold and his is also missing a bolt too so you are fine. Thumbs Up Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

Thanks Procta.. I replaced one that was missing..

Thank you James..
I have started to tidy up the engine a little bit.. I originally polished a rocker cover but realised that unlike the mini it wouldn't stay polished for very long so I had one powder coated.. went from this:

To this:

I also replaced the plastic oil breather thingy me bob with an allisport one but haven't taken pics yet.. I painted the oil filler cap to match the paintwork and replaced the bracket which was very rusty with a new one that I painted... I used a product called Calyx to dress the rusty manifold and turbo after a quick clean up with a wire brush and they look much better... 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

looking very clean! its a mazing what a bit of time and a few quid will do to the look of an engine. I did something similar to my metros engine bay with the lotus stuff. Went from some tatty looking thing to very bling! Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

As you can see they are nice but the middle seat is a bit darker than the other 2, so i will take the middle seat covers and change them with the other middle seat covers as they are lighter and will match this set better, pic of other seat cover set...........................................

No worries Profyaffle Wink alas to say i remember bagpuss well Whistle

As i have bought my 2 sets of seat covers 2nd hand and thought that they would fit nice and snug and they do Very Happy there is one thing i ought to let you know, is that the head rest covers dont seen to be a perfect fit with mine, including my xs seats as well, it's where the Velcro joins at the bottom and mine dont meet Banging Head so i came up with a plan and as you can see in the pic's i used some more Velcro. The male and female bits of Velcro joined .................................

Then in the next pic is showing you how i over come the " gap "...............................

I thought it would help you be prepared in case your head rest covers dont meet Whistle

Just let me know if you need anymore info Wink 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Thanks for the tip... Velcro.. wonderful stuff, I used some to fasten my fume curtain frame to the headlining.. the 'frame' is actually some conduit I'd used in the greenhouse to grow plants up) Razz

Hi Profyaffle,

I've been catching up on your thread while waiting for Ophelia to blow over.
You have done great work and your 90 is a credit to you and you have given me a few ideas.

Are you still on the drum brake rear axle as I had read that the centre cap would not fit on the Freestyle alloys on account of the hub protruding?

Hello..
Thank you.. I am watching your thread too.. Hope Ophelia has blown over now.. the wind is just picking up here..
Alan has discs all round so the centre caps fit ok... I think if you fit some 30mm hub centric spacers you can get the caps on. 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

Hi Procta,
Alan's been great thanks.. we had our biggest run out to go collect a motorbike a few weeks ago and he performed well.. no updates apart from fitting some canvas seat covers.. well 1 and a half so far as they only came yesterday.. I'm off work for a week so will be using him lots for pottering about and maybe a trip to the seaside. 1993 200Tdi Defender 90
