For transfer box levers look at Discovery 2 - they are operated by cables. And this could be easier to move.
I'm preparing some refurb of 130 TD5 and I plan placing two 105Ah batteries in the seat box. They will fit, but tight. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

I moved the seats 'out' by using later runners, but the ones I now have have ends missing, so ... out with the welder again, not pretty but strong, and wont be seen as at the back of the seats

You could have a look at Ashcroft auto console, expensive but OEM looking.

Many thanks for he idea, yes I have seen it , the Ashcroft one looks great.... really professional.... but £350 !!! how on earth can a bit of plastic be worth that ?

Anyway, I am determined to make as much as I can on this build, just hope I can get it looking good, otherwise .... bye bye £350 Crying or Very sad 1984 300TDi hardtop Stornoway Grey

Nice pictures.
You can also move the auto lever to the dashboard - next to the steering wheel. You will need to modify the dash slightly. "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "Blufínek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo Smile

Well waste no want not.... the old side panels have been used to make a blank for the old handbrake, fill in a big hole ( made for a battery cut out), make a support 'angle for the underseat access, and to make a new 'side' plate by the drivers seat as the old one is now too small as I moved the drivers seat
