Hmm..Clutch disc chatter....
Not really taking too much notice of the odd squeak, rattle etc, It would appear that a new noise, comparable to a chatter, is in the gearbox area of the car.
It is only apparent in neutral and disappears when the clutch pedal is engaged, so im thinking the clutch disc springs being the culprit.

The car is a 2012 110 model with the 2.2lt engine, with 38k miles recorded, with LR service history.

Should i replace the original clutch disc with a new genuine part, or is there at this time a more suitable replacement part available.

The car does nothing in the way of heavy towing, only trailing an Orkney boat, during the summer months.

Hi, thank you for your reply, I have had a look through the many forums, though only come up with the h/duty paddle clutch.
The Defender does not do any heavy work, and so I was hoping to replace with a suitable sprung disc.

It is booked into the dealer for an inspection next week, and so will know better than, especially replacement part and cost.

truckfix clutch plate appears to be the item of choice DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,
