110 to 130 conversion .....worth it?

hi,i have my 99td5 hard top from new and 17yrs later the cross-member is shot so ive been thinking about a galvanized chassis but i fancy a 130 so here is the question .....is it worth swapping the chassis for a 130 one and rebuilding the truck with new cab ect or sell and buy a 130 with galv chassis

mine is 99 td5 hardtop 150k miles used everyday in reasonable condition bar cross-member dont know the value

any thoughts much appreciated

It's probably always going to be cheaper in terms of time to buy one that's already been done. But it depends what sort of price you put on your time.

2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey

To turn a 110 HT into a 130 SC or DC you will need a lot of extra parts - everything from the doors back will need sourcing. If you started with a 110DC it would be much easier, at least if you want end up with a 130DC. It would probably cost a packet.
