quoting last post?
I can figure out a way to quote every post in a thread with the "quote" button, except the most recent (i.e. bottom most) doesnt have it. is it something I am missing, or possible to get a button on the last post as well?

It was deliberately removed as people were habitually hitting quote instead of reply and unnecessarily repeating everything that was already directly above.

If you feel the need to selectively quote a part of a longer post, then it can be done manually by selecting the bit you want and then copy and paste using the 'quote' button:

If you want the identity of the person whom you are quoting to appear in the "quote" box title, edit the opening tag so that rather than simply having the word quote in the square brackets, it contains quote="the author you are quoting"

Note that the author name must be enclosed in quotation marks.

This will produce this effect:

Something

JJ & All others - This method was suggested by Martin, this avoids clogging pages with duplicate messages.
But, you can still quote to a specific person using this method.

I can see where Martin is coming from and it encourages a proper conversation if you have to engage with the previous poster rather than hitting like or just instantly copying the previous post with a single click. HR064 Hampshire and Berkshire 4x4 Response
