Disable AS10 imbobiliser function
When I got my 110 the AS10 was disabled. Replaced with a new better alarm.
Fast forward a few years and since the bulkhead was replaced a few little electrical issues have appeared.
Car went back to the people who fitted the alarm and they reprogrammed it due to a few random false alarms (they put it down to the fact the battery was disconnected for a week and lost some settings) All was well.

A few more random false alarms and I take the car back. They said it as if something was keeping the interior light alive. Either a duff alarm or an issue with wiring. (see other thread on TD5 earth points - maybe linked to this issue?)

So I had a thought...Wonder if the AS10 has partly kicked back into life and is interferring?

Broke out the Nanocom and did some checks, nothing stood out (I did write back to the AS10 the country code) This morning the car was imobolised....The original keyfob did not work thought it was a flat battery but after opening it up, the battery holder had come away from the circuit board.

What settings do I need to set in Nanocom to stop the AS10 from working? 1999 Defender TD5 110

Not sure if this will help or not but the last comment on this recent thread talks about Lorryman/nanocom/AS10 unit.... http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic52709.html?highlight=alarm James

I don't know about the setting but you need to keep the AS10 or bellautoservice can do something with your ECU so it won't look for the AS10 anymore.
You can put the AS10 completely to the background as I just have the normal key and no inteference from the AS10 anymore. Roel
