Thanks for posting that Eric. Wow, earnings dropped 96%!!!

I take it that investment in new technologies and new products can account for some of that. Marketing in the expanding (if it still is) Asian markets can also be a reason.

Guys,...I reckon JLR are doing ok,....just have a look at their number of sales and the new factories that they are opening.
I would suggest, that as far as UK based manufacturers are concerned, JLR is doing,.....OK.

I think pickles is correct, JLR are doing ok. That said, my daughter works within the automotive industry and apparently the LR dealers are discounting heavily to get volume. Its a strange business model really, building a series of vehicles that are so so similar. Whilst not my cup of tea, i think that the disco 5 will do well. That said, i don't feel the same affinity to the brand as i once did. I think its that that disappoints me. The fact that such an iconic brand has deserted its core values. Look whats happened to the servicing costs for our defenders. They are outrageous compared to a few years ago. I don't know if its down to greed or need.
