Thank you sir, that's kind of you Wink I think I'll go the self tappers road...or maybe get the below hand gun, seems to have decent reviews and this is the third time I could use one.

For a little bit more i think i'd prefer this....

http://www.screwfix.com/p/lazy-tongue-riveter/10461

It's easier to hold the end while pumping the other. Those squeeze type ones usually need to two hands to squeeze together and when they let go there is a risk the end with jump and scratch the area around the rivet.

Clayton does that mean you have front dirt defenders (behind front wheels) fitted with aftermarket sills? I seem to recall someone trying this before, but didn't work out. I have rock sliders fitted and always assumed there was no way of fitting dirt defenders with the rock sliders. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

I fitted all mine with small self tappers, they did the job well... didn't fancy the idea using pop rivets.

Fit the Gywn Lewis front mudflap brackets and mud shields and you don't need front dirt d-fenders

No DD on the front at all Thumbs Up I bought some jackable sills and they stick out enough to keep nearly all of the dirt off which im happy with Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

This. Plus the Gwyn Lewis flaps fix the problem of mud on the outrigger.

I won't say no to a helping hand Clayton Thumbs Up If you do some work nearby in the coming weeks, do give me a shout, only if it isn't too much of an inconvenience. MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html

You're a real gent Clayton Bow down We're heading down to Cornwall this weekend, but should be around next. We can either grab a pint midway or I can actually pop down to yours as well - just to save you the journey.
