This is a update on the problem that i thought i had found the answer to, but as ever i did not and the problem occurred every now and then until about 1-2 weeks ago where it would not rite itself Big Cry
So i started putting my brain in gear and start thinking of probable causes, as the clue was all 4 indicators coming on at once and found that only 2 things that would connect the symptom, so i changed the indicator/horn/high beam stalk unit for a new one as the one that was on there was the original one, that did not change anything Big Cry so the next thing was the hazard lights switch, changed that for a new one and nothing changed :blub
So a few days later i was shutting the store gate, i noticed that my off side wing indicator light was not working, so when i got home later from work i would change the bulb ( they are still bulbs and not LEDs as i cant find any the same i like ) first i wiggled the bulb to see if it would work and it did but then would not if put back in the correct place, so out again and as i was wiggling it again i noticed that it was making a crackling sound, so i binned that bulb and put a brand new one in and no problems with it working now, but the best bit is that is HAS sorted the old problem out, i'm so happy now Mr. Green

I hope this info might help someone in the future Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Is the side indicator in the left wing also LED or is it incandescent? If the latter, and it failed, the resistance is wrong for the relay to operate correctly. Could also be an earthing issue there (at the left side indicator in the wing).
Don't asfk how I know... Wink

Good it is all sorted now. Thumbs Up Cheers, Vincent

I did write that in this very thread...

Mirrors are fine, but not mounted yet, have some problems with the old ones coming off, bolts are rusted solid. Waiting for some spare time and dry weather... Cheers, Vincent

Hope you some good weather soon Thumbs Up Yes they are both bulbs but the near side wing indicator ( passenger side for me ) works perfectly with no problems at all, it never occurred to me at all that it could be the drivers side one when i put the indicator to turn left Rolling Eyes Thank you again Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up.
