The seat riser were from Far Corners in St. Neots. They were a prototype and are not on their website yet, just call them for details. I think they raise the front of the seat 30-40mm which tips the seat back backwards and makes them far more comfortable Thumbs Up James

Ive done the same with mine, after fitting the seat risers (they make it back seat far more comfier and gives you more leg room) it fits under he seat perfectly. they are still a paint to fit though.

I had a Shire pedal lock, I loaned it to a friend who had just bought a Defender. The Defender was stolen from a train station with the lock fitted, the vehicle was never recovered so I don't know how the lock was removed but it was caught on a camera driving on the M4

I have an ardcase. It is bloody awkward to find a place for it when its not in use and it weighs a fair bit. I'm under no illusion that it is a complete deterrent but I hope it would stop a casual bandit. I find it easy to fit, possibly because it is a clamshell design and if you get one pedal slot sorted the rest fall into place and you close and lock the lid.

That is very sad. Did it have the relatively simple lock you see on their video?
I recently bought one and it has a different, much more secure lock.

Hi All,

Sorry to resurrect this but did anyone come up with another storage solution - I presume it won’t work back to front/upside down at the back of the footwell?

Does anyone know if there is a hinged version for a puma anywhere Like the x-defend a bit like the shire with a hinge on it - I am guessing that just doesn’t work (too much plastic in the puma?) or I would have seen one somewhere - I am sure if I owned one it would become obvious but I don’t yet so I am just asking you folks that do!

Thanks!

it does work upside down back to front, but only if your driving up the driveway, wouldnt want to take a trip like that too far! i just put mine on the floor in the back Cheers

We put it in the passenger's footwell, front to back. I know it's not safe in case of a major accident and I planned to tie it down it with a strap somehow, but you know...

sounds like a plan - I can always tie a bungee round it so if it misses me the first time it will get another go!

Fit an over centre match to front of battey box. Drill hole in guard to mount it. Cheers

thanks JST - that was my plan if there is enough space I hadn't thought of an over centre - was going to try a couple of Gravelly fasteners but I will take a look once I have the lock. It also prompted me to get the far corners risers as that's an overdue job I was always going to do as well so I have options - thanks for all the replies.

So, my method...
I keep my pedal lock in the back of my 110 utility, after it had slid sideways a few times I decided time to retain it.
So a short piece of chain, a bit of bike inner tube over the chain (to stop it rattling), one of those u shackle things round the 2nd row seat base and onto the chain, drop the pedal lock in the back and end of chain goes into the lock.
No more dents in the rear doors, and tethered on 6 inch of chain if the worst happens.
