By all means recycle the fuel lines, just make sure you dont kink the pipes and line them up very carefully before doing them up.

Yes, you need the Orings AND the copper washers!

use the numbers to find all teh part numbers.
Allmakes and their clients sell an Ellring version which is a fraction of the LR price and they are excellent quality.
That is where I buy them.
On Friday we have to do a head gasket on a Puma so I can assure you the fuel pipes will stay .
If you like you can have my head gasket job shopping list. Fixing Land Rovers in rural Guanacaste

The issue with the high pressure fuel pipes is the interface between the injector and pipe and fuel rail and pipe. if you are unfortunate enough to get a leak the fuel will leak at very high pressure as a fine spray with the resultant risk of a fire. Not sure how many puma fires there have been but MTU have had serious issues with this. Expect it isnt a common problem on the TDCi as there is next to nothing on Google DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

I hope everyone is well and your land rovers make you happy

Hello gentlemen,

does anyone know of a good (cheap) source for fuel lines?

I would actually need to replace line for cyl number 2. I changed the injector on that cylinder yesterday and cleaned & reamed the seats on all others. All other sealed well with the old lines, except the one with the new injector.

Terve!
You can ask your local ford dealer, what they'll call for 6C1Q 9C993-BB. Which is the pipe for the second injector if counted from the front to the gearbox.

Guten Morgen Max,

thanks for the information.

Luckily it seems I do not need to change the pipe, I tried tightening the nipple a bit more and now it does not leak anymore.

Cheers,
Johan
