I was looking at these in the dealerships last year. Worth noting that it's a 2012 model year with the 8-speed auto 'box isn't it?

Had a reply back from my dad..

I am pretty certain it has an 8 speed box because they changed the gear lever from a normal automatic shift gate to the button that rises from the centre consul when you switch on and they call it “command Shift’ . I don’t think they changed it again until the new model came out in late 2012.

It's definitely an 8-speed with the rising (Jaguar) gear selector and 4.4 TDV8.

I think I have probably confused things with my reference to the 2012 model year. It was the MY11 that got the TDV8 and 8-speed auto. The difference between MY11 and MY12 is just the colour of the grille.
