1989 Defender 90 V8 Petrol ST Alpine White

Gearbox rebuild

I've been looking for an LT85 gearbox to replace the noisy one in my 90 & ive managed to find & win a split case main box & transfer box on flebay at a decent price,
The chap that sold it says it was noisy in 5th but seemed ok in all other gears,

So, who do I get to rebuild them both
Ashcroft's want just over £1k +vat & are a long way from me
R Whitehouse are quoting £450 labour + parts & Vat but are a lot closer,

Any other recommendations?

Shabs at Syncro Gearboxes - based Derbyshire way, but you'll not find a better built box.
