RED-DOT you have had enough warnings in private about being polite to people on here, so now it is in public.

If you want to be rude go elsewhere, I gather Facebook don't care as long as they can mine your data and flog it to advertisers.

This is the last time I will give you the opportunity to sort yourself out.

I wouldn't personally fit a Startech or similar, but I don't insult and attack those who do. If you want to and have the money to, why not?

I don't see anyone attacking you for having an L200 pickup.

There is a code of conduct here which you seem determined to ignore. You abide by it or I will close your account for good.

That escalated quickly and unnecessarily. Shocked

Defenders aren't cheap nor are many cars out there, you pay for quality.
You could spend thousands on seats for a Peugeot just the same.

Who is worried, each to their own.

Whether you have a little or a lot anything is possible if worked for.
Okay, some maybe not be able to make a purchase for hundreds of pounds at a snap of the fingers but good things come to those who wait.

No one likes people who covet others goods, whoever you are or what ever you do.

Too much of this sort of thing in this country, can't even go out and about without dirty looks some times from some out there.
(A member here that owned a Porsche once was on about this before too.)

I'm not aiming this at anyone at all but is a few of my views, and quality warrants a higher price.
If the quality is there, I'm prepared to pay it when possible to achieve it Diesels Lives Matter. ⛽️🛢️👨‍🔧🧰⚙️

I'm very happy with my Leather Momo Jet. Thumbs Up Feels nice and looks great. The original LR wheel gave me arm ache.

Sometimes a picture is worth a thousand words. I still stand by the fact that I think a smaller steering wheel makes a Defender better to drive but while not Defender pictures I think the images give weight to the argument. Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

I prefer the original padded wheel, which I have in the 110, but the smaller wheel is an improvement in the 90 truck cab, purely foe space, but it makes the steering heavier. Basic physics...

Martin's coment about being 6" 3' and fitting into standard seats and wheel is interesting.

One of my sons it the same height as me 6" 2' and he likes standard seat and wheel where as I need seat extenders and smaller wheel. The difference is he is longer in the back and shorter in the leg, opposite to me and I have long arms.

I think it is a very individual thing that you can only gauge once you try out the different fitments. When my 110 went in for some warranty work I put the standard wheel back on and then left it on for about 1000 miles afterwards, feels much better....for me.... now that the Momo is back on.

Hi Mo
It's a personal thing but I think compared to the Momo it looks better and also just seems visually better in the Landy.
I don't bang my elbow anymore and that's worth it alone, most mods for the Landy are not worth it in terms of pounds and pence but I would err on the positive for Startech
I looked at Momo but thought for the extra money I would rather go for what I really wanted

I have read this thread through now and all i have to say is that when i got my landy i found the original steering wheel was to big and cumber sum, so i put on a smaller wheel and it was a Momo, that was good for a number of years but as a working landy the leather started to deteriorate and for me it was padded out to much so i was on the hunt for another wheel, could not find what i was looking for until a member put the perfect working smaller steering wheel up for sale, so i bought and fitted it and i'm so chuffed with it and i forgot to mention the steering wheel is a QT one ( based on the earlier Momo wheel )
So at the end of the day i think that we all will pay for what we really want to hold and look at and will keep that grin on for much longer Whistle Thumbs Up 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

Hi Mo
The OE one is too big and it came down to Momo or ST
Momo was 200 and ST 375 - it was a lot but I'm keeping this one and 175 for something I use every day I thought was worth it. The Landy cost 10K so it's keeping it in perspective
Sawtooth, Bowler sills, remap, longline drawer - I have probably spent 4K getting her the way I want

Urban Truck front guard going as I should have got the Bowler one Surprised

Don't get me started on steering wheels... SWMBO didn't like the STD one.... So fitted a MOMO tuner... She didn't like the TI looking centre... So I sold that and bought her a Startech... She hated that!!!... So that was sold as well... She then demanded the MOMO off the Bowler (leather)... Which was kind of ok for me as I wanted the suede one!!...
However, Lesson learned the hard way!! Big Cry Big Cry Big Cry
