TD5 Reverse Light Loom
Howdy All,

My conversion is getting the point of MOT. While still a little threadbare inside, I just want it back on the road now, ha!

However ... I'm having serious issues finding the old reverse light switch to wire up to the Merc shifter.

I have a feeling I have a lump of loom missing as there's no loom plugs for the transfer box switches either.

I have one big loom that runs the passenger side of gearbox tunnel. It's been nearly a year since and I can't for the life of me remember if there should be 2 loom sections. I know the old reverse switch was also passenger side, but no 'old' OEM plugs sitting there to splice into.

Where on the bulkhead Ifni am missing a section does this plug into as I don't have any dead ends there either!? All lights are working, just can't locate the correct wiring for the switch!

Anybody fancy crawling around their TD5 for me Smile?

Thanks.

Cheers, that's a clearer pic. I have the paperback workshop books, but the B&W images are terrible.

Looks like I am indeed missing a loom.

Can anybody trace this for me on an actual TD5? Where it's come from, where it goes ... As I say, I dont seem to have an redundant bulkhead multi connectors to suggest anythings gone, but it must do.

I've used the wiring book to trace all the connectors as far as I can tell, but there's a junction I cant trace. It's odd there's nothing visibly missing except the actual loom and intermediate plugs!

Puzzling!!!
