Having trouble filling up my 110 XS Landmark
Whenever I go to the filling station, regardless of the pump/station I visit, the fuel filling nozzle always seems to click off really easily and it takes an age to get any fuel into my 2016MY Defender 110.

Rather than getting fuel in full flow, I have to gently squeeze it in which makes for a longer filling up time.

Any ideas? Genuine issue or Defenderism?
Is there a technique I should be learning?

Don't insert the nozzle fully into the filler hole ( I know how that sounds)

I get this sometimes, even after replacing the fill breather.

As above, rejig the nozzle ... Solved the bowel problem, working on the consonants...

The automatic cut-off on the nozzle is triggered by the bend in the fuel pipe, so as others have said just pull back a few centimetres and you should be able to go full steam ahead.

Some pumps are a bit sensitive, but usually a different angle fixes that. Most of the time I wedge the filler cap under the handle, try to not look at the numbers and wait for the click!

Mr. Green some great ideas and comments in here. Very Happy

I'll be sure to try some of these techniques out next time I am at the pump.

Never had any issues with mine, so just to be certain have you actually looked at the piping closely to check for any issues?
