1986 Defender 90 2.5 n/a Diesel ST Nato Green

Our new 90

Hi we've now finally got ourselves another 90 it's an ex military 2.5 NA diesel 1986 GS cargo soft top,my friend and I picked it up in the last month as an mot failure,so we collected it on a trailer and have spent the last 3 weeks sorting it out which included,a new alternator 2 new fuse boxes new hazard light switch tidied up the wiring behind the headlights and plugged the correct wire in to the brake light switch,and that sorted out all the lights then fitted a pair of new front shock absorbers and a new steering damper gave it a full service then Friday took it for an mot and it passed with no advisories,we are chuffed to bits with it we were unsure about ownership as we were going to share it with my mate but when Tash saw it last Saturday she said how nice it was so when she left I had a chat with my mate and he said for us to have it so when I brought it home on Friday evening she was very happy

Hi James thank you

Tash has already told me she wants a set of side steps but that she wants it left exactly how it is,she needs the steps as it's a bit tall for her to get in and out,oh and a fume curtain as she likes having the back flap rolled up so at least it will be snug in there over winter,

Driven many miles in these on and off road, Looks good all you need is the NATO hook and it will be complete

Hi thanks for the comments yes unfortunately the hook was missing when we bought it and as to the wheels I will get a set of wolf rims fitted I've got 2 just got to get another pair and we will be sorted

Hi had a good day today I took the light surrounds off and painted them and the wiper arms and also fitted a new grille as the old one was badly cracked and had patchy green paint on it,really pleased with the finished look,next job is cleaning the mirror arms and attempting to paint them
