Well, the image is mostly a 1953 80" not a '48, although it displays various anachronisms (bulkhead sidelights as well as wing lights, two piece wings, modern FWH, etc) and there was no LR presence at Whitley, Coventry, before JLR made it their HQ, which was a good few decades after 1948.

Whitley , Coventry was correct. JLR HQ - nothing to do with Series Land Rovers - probably why the selling price isn't some ridiculous price as probably originally intended as someone realised they'd made a big boo boo !! |
