When you put the heated screen in grafty, do you have to have the screen in first or the loom or does it not matter which is first as i would like to get one in before the frosty weather comes Wink 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

I had the screen in first but it doesn't matter which way round you do it Thumbs Up

When I did the rebuild, the screen had to be swapped out of the old frame into the new one. The wiring remained in place and just connected straight back up no problems Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Did you use the mobile centre loom? I have mine here now and I'm just wondering how and where I am going to feed the wires through.. 1993 200Tdi Defender 90

Yeah I had the mobilecentre one.

Relays etc in the battery box and then wires out of the battery box, up the chassis leg and into the bulkhead through one of the grommets.

Then it's just as case of locating the switch and running the wires behind the dash to the screen Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Dash top ,speedo binacle and centre panel on mine (to mount the switch). As you are going to be mounting your switch elsewhere then it'll probably be just dash top and speedo binacle Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Popped into my local dealers today to pick up a rubber mat for the rear. It took me quite a while! As I walked back from the parts shop back to the forecourt (where my defender was parked) there were all the salesmen and two customers stood round my defender looking at it!

After a long chat and taking one of the salesmen for a spin (he had never been in a tuned Td5) I left with a new mat and £108 less in the bank Shocked

Worth it though as the genuine mats do look good Thumbs Up

It'll not be long before sales people don't even know what a defender is. Sales men at our local all look manscaped, max factored and about 12 years of age Rolling with laughter

Laughing as we are in a rural area there were still plenty of defenders on the forecourt Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

When my fan belt decided to start falling to bits when I was in Leeds I thought I'd pop in to the LR dealership and get a new one on my home.. Needless to say they didn't have one for a 200tdi.. Rolling Eyes 1993 200Tdi Defender 90
