Discovery 200TDI what bits will fit 200TDI 90
I bought a 200 TDI Discovery for the engine to put in my Series 2.

When I break it is there anything that will fit my 90?

I guess the gear box is no good as it has short shift lever & I believe incorrect input shaft length?

Will the Transfer box fit?

My axles on the 90 are different so they won't be no use to me except 10 spline diffs to up gearing of series if I want.

Is there anything I should salvage before I sell the bits that I dont use on the Series conversion?

Thanks. Thumbs Up

Gearbox - shift position can be sorted with an adaptor and your old shift housing, however as you say the input shaft is the wrong length for a 200Tdi Defender.

Transfer box - will fit more or less, but likely to be a different ratio.

I put a Discovery/RRC handbrake in my 90 a while back, which helps with comfort and ease of use.
