United Kingdom 2004 Defender 110 Td5 CSW Epsom Green
TD5 CSW new (old) rear seats and upstand.
The upstand on the Defender was looking a bit frilly, and with the boys growing up (it's the family car) we needed proper high back second row seats.

Puma would look smashing.... but how much! Shocked

So, managed to find a full set of 3 way split early defender seats with, importantly, all the brackets.

I sent the frames away to be burnt clean and powder coated and ordered the new Exmore Trim backs and bases.

Next from YRM I ordered all the parts to replace the upstand and the galvenised mid crossmember with brackets and all stainless fixings.

So, when all the bits had arrived, it was time to take out the old seats and cut out the grotty floor.

With having all new everything I could be nice and vicious with the old bolts to get the crud out - the mid crossmember was in better nick than it looked but the new will last much longer.

Waxoiled everything before putting it all back together.

Now, sorry but no pics of the final putting back together as I ended up doing it in the dark, but the YRM parts fitted perfectly using their workshop post.

And after getting them centred and after a bit of jiggling the new seats went in and the boys love em, eldest no longer crushed in a baby chair!

Sounds like a decent job. Unfortunately, your pictures aren't displaying properly but they work if you copy the 'BBCode' link from further down the page:

They were made by exmoor trim years ago. They move the backrest up and back by 2 inches and it improves rear legroom. They are now like rocking horse poo to find
