Extra Heat needed
This is our first full season with a caravan, having bought a 2004 Coachman just about this time last year.

All the trips have been a great success, in all weather conditions and the 'van has been great. The only gripe (from my wife and 2 daughters) is that although the main caravan is warm, it is always cold in the washroom - even with the blown air heating. Even with the front vents closed and only the washroom open it tends to be like a sauna in the main area and barely warm up back.

We use the shower on most trips and other than the temp in the washroom is it great.

So, does anyone have any suggestions as to an additional heater that could be mounted in the rear washroom to warm it up a bit. I thought about a small halogen heater or similar that I could mount on the wall and hard wire into the electrics. So far we only use sites with 240v hook up so it shouldn't be an issue.

Thanks

If there's plenty of heat in the main caravan, what about a large, slowly rotating (thus quiet) 12v fan to push that heat into the washroom?
Mounted high up it's usually a cheap and easy way to get the warm air along a space. Not an owner... yet!

I believe that your blown air system uses the brown/fawn pipes with plastic joints. I had a caravan that used the same system a fan forced hot air towards a T piece, one side went to the front of the van and the other towards the back and washroom with the washroom being the coldest part of the caravan, this was due to the washroom being the furthest from the fan.
I was able to purchase a restrictor that was placed in the front line which to force more hot air to the washroom. I don't know if these are still manufactured. Check that the piping has not come off one of the plastic joints.

As with any washroom bear in mind electric shock. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.

If you look at the back of the Fire there is a divider front to back with a flap gate in that you can adjust try putting more air to the back.
But also where do the pipes run some vans send them outside Shocked if that's the case wrap them with insulation Thumbs Up or get a small fan heater

Are you getting good flow out of the vent? Mike

The flow from the vent seems to be ok. just not as warm as the front vents.

I am going to investigate a small fan heater. I have thought of a halogen or IR, but a fan might just be the simplest.

We had a similar problem in our old caravan. In the end I fitted a small 240V towel rail. A quick Google will find plenty.

Ours was about £25 from memory. Worked well and just supplied constant warmth to the rear bathroom. You never really noticed it was switched on, but you certainly noticed if it wasn't. Dave
