I fitted from the down pipe onwards on my 300tdi 110, a Double 's' ss exhaust with no middle box, happy with it so far, its been on for at least 4 years now Thumbs Up There is not much difference with "extra " noise in the landy, the best bit imo is when you got it on tick over, go and stand at the back where the exhaust is, great sound, nice burble Very Happy but not as good as a V8 Sad 1996 Golf Blue 300Tdi 110 Pick up. Keeper.

I have been looking at that one.

A mate has the middle and rear and it does sound a bit gruntier (is that even a word). Laughing Apparently the turbo spools up a bit quicker as well.

I have sent the chap a message to see if he can do it in stainless (my rear section is only 3 years old and shot. Needless to say it had a blue label, was dirt cheap and got me out of trouble on a holiday). 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

I have had a message back from Neil at Regis exhausts.

Apparently he doesn't do Stainless Steel exhausts. 1995 300 Tdi Epsom Green - It's a keeper.

For goodness sake don't buy a double s system. had one on my V8 and it was an unmitigated pile of festering poop. The tubular manifolds were a dreadful fit on the cylinder heads and the welds cracked, the middle box didn't fit at all, was nowhere near any of the mounting points, the "Y" pipe only just engaged with the manifolds, the joint between Y pipe and centre box was forever working loose. The tail pipe came out at exactly the same place as the rear mudflap mounted on the side of the car.

Try these fellows.

not sure a 'sports' exhaust would have any benefit on a (probably) high milage tdi. Quite often these 'special' exhaust are fitted at a time when the existing exhaust is on its last legs, so that even a std exhaust would seem to give more power. Wallace, my 110, has a std mild steel down pipe, that does seem very thick, withoutflexi, so that is unlikely to rust, a stainless center straight thro (50) so that'll never rust, and a std cheapo rear pipe box, that lasts prob 3 years a pop, so thats 10 a year for exhausts, and prob gives as good as a 'sports' exhaust on a truck with nigh on 180k sounds good too, without being loud.

I paid 60 per section (so under 200 for the full system) for a stainless exhaust for my td5, think it was bosal branded. It has no cat (car was never fitted with one) and no centre silencer. I couldn't stomach 600 for basically the same thing from alive!!

I had a stainless exhaust fitted to my 300tdi at 120,000 miles front pipe back and no centre silencer, so a "sports system". Other mods included an Alisport intercooler, injector pump optimisation and gas flowed head.
On my 110 3 door commercial there was no real increase in noise. Whistle
I sold it at just under 400,000 miles over 10 years later with no sign of exhaust problems. At the time is seemed a reasonable price and was manufactured by Double S Exhausts.
Hope that helps. Thumbs Up Just because you're offended doesn't mean you're right.
